Bestival Reveals Temple Island Lineup

Shaping the destiny of dance music, our very own rave oasis, Temple Island, has lined-up the heavy hitters to take Bestival into The Future this September in the depths of Robin Hill. Curated in conjunction with Street Team and spanning all flavours of beat behaviour from hip-hop to jungle and almost everything in between, expect a jam-packed weekend of floor spanking brilliance from legendary selectors and the most exciting new DJs with non-stop songs of praise in our church of dance.

Bestival’s own dancefloor destroyer Rob da Bank says: However hard I try to stay away from the brain-melting mega-rave zone that is Temple Island at Betsival the more I seem to get dragged into the madness. With its unique stepped dancefloor and open air Ibiza vibe it really is one of our best venues at Bestival. Last year it seemed to be a lock out from lunchtime till the wee hours, and this year will be no different with so many amazing names and legends from Goldie and Annie Nightingale to new bloods My Nu Leng and Oneman… oh yeah and I appear to be playing a history of jungle with Aled Jones MCing over the top”.

Undoubtedly one of the weekend’s more off the wall appearances, we’re very pleased to announce that Temple Island will be the place to witness world renowned chorister Aled Jones rocking his chops as the microphone controller, presenting a very special history of jungle & drum n bass with the man like da Bank on the ones and twos. There will also be bass bin pressure from Radio 1’s first lady Annie Nightingale, Croydon’s finest Artwork, San Francisco’s fastest rising star Avalon Emerson, Bodhi Presents Roots featuring Axel Boman, Bodhi Romare, Bade Records co-foundersTalk&Smoke and Brothers Black, beat maverick Ed Solo, and Metalheadz don Goldie dropping an old school hip-hop set.

We’ll have more fire from Bristol bass music duo GotSome and deep Greco-Roman action from Joe Goddard, Karma Kid, Lxury and the Greco-Roman Soundsystem. Plus, there will be sets from the Isle of Wight’s Hadda, genre-swerver Hodgson, the on-point and eclectic Icarus, 1Xtra’s RnB queen Jamz SupernovaJuicebox featuring Maribou State, Fono, Joe Hertz & Juicebox DJs and skank master Kiko Bun.

And dropping bombs late into the night Temple Island will be jumping to Mant, garage deity MJ Cole, NTS Radio stalwart, Moxie, and My Nu Leng going back to back with Oneman, with even more deck wrecking from the mighty Shadowchild and Siobhan Bell.

There are still plenty of treats to be revealed for our Future paradise, including our Sunday night main stage headliners and much more, so head towww.Bestival.netFacebookTwitterInstagram / Tumblr
