“To understand the world, you must first understand a place like Mississippi.” -William Faulkner. Growing up in the many eccentricities of Mississippi, Light Beam Rider has sculpted a sound unlike any southern band before them on their new album “A Place to Sleep among the Creeps. They recorded the new album in the woods of Water Valley, MS with Mississippi native Winn McElroy (who has also recorded The Weeks who are on the Kings of Leon’s Serpent & Snakes label, and grammy award winner Jimbo Mathus).

While in college, Light Beam Rider spent the last few years making a name for themselves in the Southeast, but now they are planning to tour nationally in support for their upcoming album.
