Florence + the Machine lead the wave of announcements for this year’s Glastonbury festival. The British alternative rock band fronted by Florence Welch were originally tipped to headline, they will perform five years after their last appearance to promote the release of third album ‘How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful’. Other names confirmed include Belle & Sebastian, Pharrell Williams and Lionel Richie plus The Vaccines, The Maccabees, Suede, The Chemical Brothers (live), Jungle, Jamie XX, Gregory Porter, Super Furry Animals, Jon Hopkins, Sharon Van Etten, Ben Howard, Kate Tempest, Wolf Alice, Perfume Genius, Fat White Family, La Roux, Catfish & The Bottlemen, Jessie Ware, Death Cab For Cutie, Kasai Allstars, FFS (Franz Ferdinand & Sparks), Modestep, Circa Waves, Peace, Young Fathers, and The Moody Blues all appearing across the weekend.

Ticket re-sales happen this week and will take place over two separate days, and can only be booked by those who are registered, as part of the Festival’s system to beat ticket touting.
Just like the main sale in October, those wanting to travel to the Festival by coach will get the first opportunity to book tickets. The all important resale for Ticket + Coach packages will be from 6pm on Thursday, 16th April.
