Alfie and Nick are back with Yoohoo off their very own imprint, 17 Steps. The record sees the South London boys head back into more housier territory with their last few EP’s, namely ‘Love Taking Over’, ‘Careless’ and ‘Vanishing Point’ pointing in a deeper techno direction. ‘Yoohoo’s’ nineties piano-house arrangement is a welcomed return for Dusky’s ripened fans but they seemed to have lost some of the soul their productions once had. It’s a very average record that tries it’s hardest to be uplifting but fails miserably. Should also mention that we’ve heard that drum sequencing elsewhere, too.
