The ADE Playground is the place to be for this years event if you can’t afford to grab yourself a ticket to the full event. ADE pride themselves on events that encompass music; this means that there’s tonnes of arts and craft to get your teeth stuck into. Here are a list of 5 events we think you should get yourself to this year. Firstly, by the looks of things you’ll need to grab a €10 ADE Card which will grant you access to lots of events. Here are the top 5:

1. Boy George at ADE MusicTalks

Boy George himself will be talking about his incredible career as a chart-topping artist, ambassador for an entire musical generation and now, a prominent figure on the DJ circuit.

A brilliant networking event combining soul, hip-hop and photography. If you’re looking for a perfect place to ‘mingle’, this is your spot.

3. ADE Sound Academy Presents: 4D Sound

Here, you’ll get the chance to ‘walk through space and experience sound from all directions’. If that alone doesn’t interest you in the slightest, then we’re not quite sure what will. Max Cooper is part of the cohort presenting this unique experience and I’m sure he’ll bring his eclectic left-field sound for the ride – you’re in for a right treat.

4. ADE Drawn Live

The folks at ADE have commissioned a team of skilled illustrators to who will be depicting the goings-on from each day with hand-drawn sketches. These will be available to view at the MixTup Gallery which will be constantly updated during the event. Not to be missed for those who love to see the combination of art and music.

5. Films @ ADE

We’re almost certain, you’ll want time during the event to just relax and watch a film. Here’s where ADE come into play. They’ve lined up feature series along the lines of Rewing 4Ever: The History of UK Garage, Gabbers! and a lot more for you to sit back, relax and catch up on the history of electronic music.
