Harkive 2014 is a one day online project curated by Craig Hamilton, a music lecturer and digital do’er, which aims to harvest the listening habits of people across the globe to capture a worldwide snapshot and create a musical time capsule which will record how we interact with music and tech in today’s digital era.
The project, now in its second year, asks we the people to contribute via social media or via their Facebook page or email to tell them your audio story. Be it a simple tweet, a one line email or a full on blog post…any information proffered up will be pivotal in gathering digital data for future analysis.
Last year’s Harkive day saw contributions flood in from 57 different countries and at its peak #harkive was the UK’s number 1 trending Twitter topic and the project garnered over 2,500 responses during its one day duration, so let’s hit up the hashtag #harkive and make 2014 bigger and LOUDER than ever.
