Laszlo Dancehall, the collective moniker for Leon Vynehall and Christian Piers’ side project, have just released their latest EP, LZD III, on George Fitzgerald’s Man Make Music label. The MMM imprint has already had some impressive releases. Shenoda’s Leslie Crowther EP and Trikk’s ‘Basement Traxx’ have stood out so far, and LZD III is a strong addition to Laszlo Dancehall’s growing catalogue of releases with the label. George Fitzgerald’s remix of ‘Plimpton’ hasn’t done too much to the original, but smoothed it out; where ‘Plimpton’ has a typically disjointed, disorienting sound, Fitzgerald’s remix works it into something that should be on the dancefloor, giving it that punchy synth and the top layer of of drums to create a club-friendly mix. The whole EP is worth getting, and includes Fitzgerald’s mix. Out now on ManMakeMusic.
