Kano has been away and under the rap radar for a while, oh how he’s been missed. One of the forefathers of grime is back in a big way, this is The King’s Speech produced by The Confect. He brings old friend, Ghetts in on the act too. The track is a 4 minute assault on the ears, showing off why KA and Ghetts are two of the finest talents this country has ever produced.
After a short sample from the song’s namesake ‘The Kings Speech’, Ghetts starts firing on all cylinders with a ridiculous flow. His bars are gritty, raw and give you renewed faith in the UK Grime scene. Then steps up the King, “Kano got his shine back/ like Rooney got his hairline back”. He shows what has been missing from the scene, the intensity, the bars and the quick wit which made him a household name are all still there. He may have been away doing a bit of acting but now, I feel he’s Home Sweet Home.
