We interviewed up and coming house producer – Endor. We’ve featured his music a few times on our website so we thought we’d ask the Londoner a few questions. The cheeky Southerner came out with some interesting answers. He first hit our radar a few months ago with Out Of The Rain, since then he’s gone on to produce a number of original records – all of which are available as free downloads.
Let’s start off with the basics for those who aren’t familiar with your music and profile. What’s your full name, how old are you and where are you from?
Dan Hardingham, 21, London, male, single, GSOH, no pets please, looking for older women only.
What made you want to start producing your own music?
What made you want to ask the same old interview questions?
Do you have a musical background?
Yeah, it’s full of guitars:
How did you learn to make electronic music and what do you use to produce?
Went on a pilgrimage and prayed at the shrine of Skrillex. I use Fruity 10.
You’ve hit the scene really hard in terms of productions, they’re coming thick and fast; have you got any official releases in the pipeline?
Yes! First ever official release is coming on the 3rd of Feb. A two track EP coming out on Rain Maker records. It’s jacking house baby.
Your style is very glossy, polished and tinted with a stylistic finesse, is this the type of music you’ve always produced?
Is that your best chat up line? I produced Dubstep before I produced House.
Apart from the obvious affiliation with house music, what other genres take your fancy?
Really feeling Hip Hop/Grime at the moment. Bassline/Niche is making a comeback in my iTunes too, can’t get enough of it.
Name your top 5 records from 2013.
- Endor – Animals
- Endor – Yeezus
- Endor – Get Lucky
- Endor – Settle
- Endor – LongLiveA$AP
If you could collaborate with anyone, past or present, who would it be?
The same question but who would you want to party into the early hours of the morning with?
The same answer.
Tell us a weird fact about yourself, anything goes!
I’m really shit at writing funny answers to interview questions.
What’s your favourite club in the UK?
The Bollinger club.
With that in mind, what club would be a dream booking for you (if you haven’t already played it)?
Ministry of Sound, without a doubt.
Finally, have you got any upcoming gigs?
No, because I’m too lazy. I’ve had a lot of requests from people asking me to play their clubs from as far as Paris and Edinburgh, (brag, brag, brag) but I’ve declined because it’s a logistical nightmare. Might sort out a UK tour this summer though if my entourage is up for it.
Endor’s next release is on the 3rd February on Rain Maker Records.
